Team Penske fires the senior management team after the fraud scandal

The Indycar Powerhouse team Penske released its entire management team on Wednesday morning on Wednesday morning, just five days before the Indianapolis 500 after being caught in a fraudulent scandal that overshadowed the largest car race in the world.

Roger Penske, who belongs to the racing team, the Indycar series and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, announced team president Tim Cindric, Managing Director Ron Ruzewski and General Manager Kyle Moyer, who had left the organization.

For a team that won May as an unaffordable favorite for his 21st Indy 500, no replacements were announced – as driver Josef Newgarden his unprecedented third victory in a row in the “greatest spectacle in racing”.

“Nothing is more important than the integrity of our sport and our racing teams,” said Penske in an explanation. “We have had organizational failures in the past two years and had to make necessary changes. I apologize to our fans, our partners and our organization for letting them down.”
