Alex Palou wins crash filled 2025 Indy 500

The 2025 Indy 500 had a shaky start when the network of 33 Indycar racing drivers was held in place at the planned start of 12.45 p.m. ET for almost an hour. A slight round rain shower above the Indianapoli Motor Speedway prevented the racing control from starting the whole box to start the race, but as soon as it did, the chaos began before the green flag swiveled. In the end it was Alex Palou who drove a masterful race and claimed the coveted milk.

After the delayed start due to the weather conditions, cars were allowed to provide additional reconnaissance rounds behind the Pace car. Scott McLaughlin from Team Penske lost control of his No. 3 -Chevy, who went in curve 1 as he weaved to keep his tires warm. The combination of cold stretching temperatures and cold tires was a little bit proven for some drivers. As soon as the green flag fell, it was Marco Andretti who bite 1 in curve and claimed that the cars next to him pushed it up and ultimately into the wall.

Rookie and Polesitter Robert Shwartzman quickly fell in second and third place when Hard-Lech Pato O'Ward and the two-time winner Takuma Sato did not lose time to fight for the lead.

The excitement did not take long, since the race in round 18 had flown over the 2.5-mile oval yellow due to a light trash and forced the officials to temporarily reduce the pace. The campaign was resumed in round 30 when Scott Dixon immersed the box in order to deal with a malfunction of the rear brake. There was a solid duration of action since the start of the race, which made it possible to experiment drivers and teams with the use of the new hybrid system in the race stamp.

The former racing winner Alexander Rossi came into the box in round 76, but he quickly found himself in the fire when something lit the fuel that was fed to his car. His Pit crew quickly fought to extinguish it, even though one of the mechanics was not on fire even after the car. Emergency crews arrived quickly to treat it, and although it was not confirmed at that time, it did not seem to have serious injuries. This unfortunate event was the end of Rossi's race.

The next 10 rounds were a crash festival with several cars that came into the box or came out of the box, including polest titers Shwartzman. As the saying says:

With 40 laps it was the veteran and former winner Ryan Hunter-Reay, Local Conor Daly and Young David Malukas, who piled up their Chevys in the top three. The fourth place lurked, however, Indycar Champ and the current series star Alex Palou.

The last round of the pit stops started in round 168 when Santino Ferrucci briefly went into the lead. The Palou crew started a hellish pit stop, which made it possible for him to skip a few cars during the stopperation. Jäger-Ray stayed during his stop, which took him out of the dispute.

With only 25 rounds, things between Palou and O'Ward were heated, as they performed as a real competitor for victory despite Ferrucci at that time. Five rounds later, Marcus Ericsson positioned his Honda in second place and threw his name into his name for a second Indy 500 victory.

Nevertheless, Palou with Ericsson held back almost 0.7 seconds behind Malukas, 1.1 seconds. The Oval victory of the Spaniard of the first career could be very good at the greatest of his career, and it is certainly up to this point.
