A case was registered with the Bavdhan police against them.Patil said that deputy police inspector Vikram Gaikwad received a hint from the criminal police that Kalyani Deshpande was involved in the sale of smuggling stuff from her shop and the apartment on Sus-Straße. “We attacked the business on SuS Road and found 20 kg Ganja worth 11.28 Lakh in the basement,” said Patil.Patil said that the police investigation unveiled that Deshpande's husband Umesh Deshpande, her niece and the husband of the latter, Abhishek Ranavade (32) from Pashan-Suad Road, were involved in the sale of Ganja, which was sold by Kalyani Deshpande. “Kalyani Deshpande is on the run. We arrested three more,” said Patil.The officer mentioned that Kalyani, who has several cases against her, was sentenced to a special court in Pune for seven years in one case after the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act. She opposed the conviction in front of the Bombay's Supreme Court of Justice and secured a deposit until appealing. In January last year, the Sambhajinagar police arrested it in connection with a sexual racket. “It is currently against the deposit,” he said.
