Man killed, woman in the hospital after an accident with a vehicle near Kuna to the hospital

The following is a press release from the Idaho State Police.

Melba-Die Idaho State Police examines a fatal accident with a vehicle that took place on Sunday, May 25, 2025, near the crossing of Dry Lake Road and Bowmont Road north of Melba at around 6:32 a.m.

A red Nissan Armada from 2008, who was driven by a 36-year-old man with a 19-year-old male passenger from Mexico, drove west on the Bowmont Road. The driver could not stop at a stop sign where the vehicle left the road and came to rest in a slope.

The driver was passed away at the crime scene. The passenger suffered injuries and was taken to a local hospital with the ground. None of the occupants wore a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Idaho State Police was supported by the Canyon County and the Canyon County paramedics.

This incident continues to be examined by Idaho State Police.
