Human Rights Fund Skandal: Appeals court emphasizes the acquittal of the prominent center director!






FEZ – In a dramatic legal reversal, the Court of Appeal in Fez ordered the resumption of the director of the “Volksrechtskentrum” after Morocco's Oberster Court of Justice had lifted two previous decisions that had acquitted the accused in 2023.

The case is based on a complaint submitted by an international organization of encounter in which the mismanagement claims the funds provided for a human rights project. While the first courts had released the director after the organization withdrew their complaint, the prosecutors successfully appealed against the acquittal.
