Police: Pregnant wife killed after the driver got into her after the traffic case in Brooklyn

Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn (WABC)- A hit and driver hit and killed a 32-year-old woman in Brooklyn on Saturday evening.

It happened shortly before midnight in Bed-Stuy at the intersection of Van Buren Street and Marcus Garvey Boulevard. According to the authorities, a driver banged into the victim when she was on the street after a traffic incident.

James Cifuni got the call early Sunday morning that his wife Tiffany Cifuni was dead. Tiffany was home from the Beyoncé concert, and the last few weeks have been full of joy – the couple expected their first child. Tiffany was in her first trimester.

“You just met us with this news two weeks ago and she was so proud of the fact that she surprised me and strapped my knees with the news, do you know?” Tiffany's father -in -law said Nick Cifuni.

Tiffany drove a dark SUV and stayed right behind the suspect's car, a chestnut brown Chevy. The police say the couple had been involved in a feast -wing bend. Tiffany then stopped, climbed out of her vehicle and approached the suspect's car.

Witnesses say Tiffany stood right next to the suspect's car. The suspect will then be taken away by the police that the driver went to oncoming traffic in Lafayette, then hit several parked cars and started on foot.

“Tiffany was the rock star of our family and we are interested in getting justice and being caught in this person,” added her father -in -law Nick.

The final exchange between Tiffany and the suspect only took 52 seconds.

“She was the most loving, most caring and patient animal lover, beautiful person,” said her mother-in-law Barbara Cifuni.

In recent years, Tiffany and her husband have lived on Long Island in their new home. The family now gathers there and is waiting for news.
