Alex Palou wins Indianapolis 500 for the first oval victory, immortality

Alex Palous Square under the legends is now certain.

The three-time master of NTT IndyCar series Palou achieved the first victory of his career and won the greatest race of all, the 109th Indianapolis 500, which was presented on Sunday on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway by Gainbridge.

Spaniard Palou achieved his fifth victory in six series races this season. But what was even more important for his legacy than one of the great masters of sport, he won immortality and a place on the Borg Warner Trophy.

Palou drove his DHL chip Ganassi Racing Honda No. 10 for victory in caution when Nolan Siegel fell in the last round of the 200-round race. Marcus Ericsson finished second in No. 28 Allegra Honda by Andretti Global. David Malukas finished third in Chevrolet No. 4 Clarience Technologies.
