Ms. dies, 5 seriously injured in the frontal accident on Hwy 26 in Tillamook Co.

Tillamook County Ore. (KPTV) – A woman is dead and five people are seriously injured after a frontal crash on Highway 26 on Saturday evening in Tillamook County.

Shortly after 6 p.m., the officials reacted to the crash near Milepost 31, where a Toyota Rav4, which led to west, crossed the center line and hit a Nissan Sentra driving to the east.

A passenger in Nissan, 59-year-old Michelle Marie Moussan from Vancouver, died at the scene.

The Nissan driver, a 62-year-old from Texas, together with two other passengers, a 34-year-old from Vancouver and a 30-year-old from California, suffered serious injuries.

The Toyota driver, a 64-year-old man in Seattle, and his passenger, a 60-year-old from Seattle, also suffered serious injuries. The police said she did not yet know why the Toyota exceeded the center line and caused the crash.

All five injured people were taken to the hospital.

The highway was closed for several hours on Saturday evening and the police continued to examine.
