The Mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson Comments on the city's attitudes triggered a federal investigation.

This time Mayor Johnson has advertised his success since taking office.

On Sunday morning at the Heritage International Christian Church in 5312 W. North Ave. In the North Austin district on the west side of Chicago, Mayor Johnson said that the crime decreased thanks to his efforts.

“Through these critical investments that we make for housing and economic development, robberies have dropped by 36%, the shootings have dropped by 36%, the murders have decreased by 21%and violent crimes overall by 21%,” said Johnson.

The mayor also said that his government contributed to the decline in crime by reopening three clinics for mental health and creating 29,000 summer jobs for young people.

This number has increased by 45% because Mayor Johnson took office.
