Grawn man killed in motorcycle car accident

A 22-year-old Grawn man was killed this weekend during a motorcycle vehicle crash on the South Airport Road.

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff and Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department reacted to the accident on Friday at 9:20 p.m. in Garfield Township. According to the authorities, a motorcycle, which was operated by the Grawn man, drove to the west on South Airport Road and hit a pickup to the east that turned north to the Veterans Drive. The pickup was operated by a 73-year-old man from Traverse City.

The Grawn man was died at the crime scene. The road was closed for about four and a half hours. The crash is still being examined. The office of the Grand Traverse County Sheriff and Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department were also supported by the Michigan State Police and the Grand Traverse County Road Commission.
