Coleman man convicted of a crash that killed baby

Marinette (WLUK) -Michael Galbraith was sentenced to three years in prison on Thursday for the traffic accident, in which an 8-month-old girl was killed.

The 47 -year -old Galbraith previously pleaded no competition for a reduced indictment for murder through negligent operation of a vehicle for the crash on October 6, 2023.

Judge Peggy Miller also put him on an extended supervision for five years, as court files show.

The judgment on the operator of a motor vehicle using a controlled substance will also match the prison sentence.

Galbraith pulled out of a stop sign in the Kamm Road in US 41 and beat another vehicle. The child died a few days after the crash. He said he had a stop sign, but did not come the vehicle.

A blood sample was carried out and the tests showed that Galbraith was positively tested for the chemicals in marijuana. In Wisconsin, drivers can have alcohol in their system up to a certain point and still work legally. However, there are no such permissible limits for other illegal drugs, and demonstrable amounts can lead to fees. However, the crime associated with drug use was changed as part of the plea.
