Grizzlies achieved another KO

Game 9

The Matchup of the second seeds Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies against the third Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs with Tennessee, who had the best games of the Avista Naia World-two-sowing power plants that throw each other at the hay manufacturers.

Instead, the competition was much more like a 30-second knockout in the first round.

The grizzlies dominated the Bulldogs with a 14-0 victory in Harris Field on Monday. The competition ended at the beginning of the seventh inn due to the merciful rule. The amount of 1,165 people did not see what they were expecting.

Everything clicked for Georgia Gwinnett and every facet of the game went well for her because they were beaten to defend it.

A “masterful” day for Patterson

Georgia Gwinnett Pitcher Anthony Patterson III threw a complete game in seven innings and allowed six goals with zero -deserved runs and fan eight batteries.

Patterson did not give up big hits for the Bulldogs. He only allowed most of the game to make a weak contact and did not allow any additional hits. He only allowed one goal while a runner was on board.

The coach of Georgia Gwinnett, Jeremy Sheckinger, called Patterson's performance no less than masterful.

“He did an excellent job to get the traffic out and get out of moments,” said Sheckinger. “We expected you to get a few hits, but we had to make a weak contact … … I just think it was a masterful performance. It is exactly the beginning we needed, and it is what we expected from him.”

Patterson said he could look freely because he knew that the defense would have his back.

“If you trust the people behind them that they have given, I see no way that it will not fall in our favor,” said Patterson.

Different facets of criminal acts for Griz

The grizzlies used many different ways to create offensive – including a small ball, the long ball and their speed to create more bases.

Georgia Gwinnett had four additional hits, a Homerun and three doubles. The grizzlies are known for speed, speed and a little more speed. They lead the country comfortably in stolen bases with 371, which is almost 100 more than the next best team. They are third in doubles and on the first in triple.

Georgia Gwinnett used his speed to make some ordinary singles a double. The grizzlies would be missing the defense and would take advantage of it.

The grizzlies also used colors several times to move the runners forward and scored a colorful in the fifth inning to give them a 5-0 lead.

Sheckinger said that the grizzlies have to be able to be successful in the different ways in how a crime can score a goal so that they can win different types of games.

“It is part of what we do, man. I think you have to have a multifaceted offensive that can beat a variety of arms on the hill,” said Sheckinger. “And that is something that we have ended up in Lawreceville. And so I love the fact that this group – especially as you know – really identifies who we are and what we are about. And again they play our style and it works.”

Paul Winland Jr., the third Baseman of Grizzlies, led the team with five RBI with two goals. He won four of this RBI in the sixth inning on a Grand Slam to the left field. It was the dagger that increased Georgia Gwinnett 9-0 and brought the game out of reach for Tennessee Wesleyan.

Winland said that he knew that he rocked the ball well and said that if he could catch the ball in front, he would be out of the park.

Sheckinger said he and Winland had a discussion in the shelter before he was informed with the racket. He said that the pitcher had thrown many off-speed parking spaces and Winland said he should take advantage of it.

“But you have to trust your player and you have to trust that he will return to the one he is – and he knows that his skills will take place and where he is successful,” said Sheckinger. “And once again, he got into two stories in (to a) and returned to what he is. See Deep and did exactly what it should do: beat this ball as hard as possible with two outs.”
