State police examined a fatal motorcycle accident in Frederica – Delaware State Police

The Delaware state police examined a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in Frederica this morning, in which a man was done dead.

On May 1, 2025, around 5:38 a.m., a Ford F-150 stopped at the stop sign on the Marratts Chapel Road and Old Beach Road. At the same time, a Harley Davidson XLH motorcycle drove south on the Old Beach Road and approached the Marratts Chapel Road. The preliminary investigation showed that the F-150 entered the intersection to drive north on the Old Beach Road. As a result, the F-150 entered the motorcycle travel path, on which the motorcycle hit the side of the passenger of the F-150 and had ejected the driver.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 37-year-old man from Magnolia, Delaware, was brought to a regional hospital in which he died of his injuries. His name is held back until his family is notified.

The driver of the F-150, a 39-year-old man from Felton, Delaware, was not injured.

The road was closed for about 3 1/2 hours, while the scene was examined and cleared.
