George Clooney's documentary about Richard Strauss' sexual abuse scandal for the debut at Tribeca

“Surviving Ohio State” will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June.

The Spotlight documentary announced in 2022 contains the scandal of sexual abuse, in which the former doctor of the Athletics Doctor of Ohio State University, Richard Strauss, is involved.

HBO was partnership with George Clooney's Smokehouse Pictures Production Company and Sports Illustrated Studios/101 Studios for this functional documentary, directed by Emmy and Oscar Action-actor Eva Orner.

The long-awaited 1-hour and 48-minute film will highlight the stories of survivors and their permanent trauma and details of the university settlement to the victims.

The film will be published on June 9th at 5:30 p.m. in the SVA Theater, 333 W. 23rd St., New York, five days after the start of the annual Tribeca film festival.

The film setup for the festival was announced in April. Tickets are available for 28 US dollars.

“Surviving Ohio State” will also be broadcast on HBO later.

Victims share stories

According to an independent investigative report, which was published by Ohio State University in May 2019, Strauss, during his 20-year term as a athletics and student doctor at school, abused at least 177 students the state of Ohio.

Strauss was employed in the state of Ohio from 1978 to 1998. He died in 2005 by suicide.

The investigators found that university officials received complaints and, in 1979, months after the doctor had arrived in the state of Ohio in the state of Ohio in September 1978.
