Cottage Grove Police Dept. updates to fatal crash examinations

Madison, Wisconsin (WMTV) – The police department of Cottage Grove will hold a press conference on Thursday afternoon to update the examination of a fatal crash.

The police authority will hold the press conference at 3 p.m. WMTV 15 news plans for the stream of the press conference.

One person died and two people were hospitalized after the crash on Monday in the 1300 block of the Landmark Lane.

A family member confirmed that the person who died, Dr. Kami Hansen, a chiropractor Cottage Grove, who walked her dog with her son when a car went off the street and she hit. Dr. Hansen, her son and the driver were taken to the hospital. She died of her injuries in the hospital.

Dr. Hansen was a mother of three boys, a woman, a friend and a chiropractor. A few years ago, she opened the chiropractic of the Heartland family.

The family said her dog died during the crash.

The police previously stated that the driver of the car worked with investigators.

Warm Belly Farm said on Thursday in a Facebook post that 10% of the autumn business turnover to the family of Dr. Hansen will donate. Buyers can come to the farm at any time between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. to honor their memory.
