Ghana closes the message in us for alleged “money for Visa” scandal

Ghana's Foreign Minister Samuel Ablakwa has announced that the country temporarily concluded its message in US capital before an examination of a suspected “money for Visa” scandal, reports BBC.

According to the report, Ablakwa said that the message would be investigating the alleged corruption in Washington diplomatic mission according to the “damn knowledge” of a test team.

In a declaration published on Monday, the minister added that the closure would take “a few days” for an “overhaul of systems and systems to be completed”.

He claimed that a locally hired employee and “employees” were supposedly involved in a “fraudulent” system in which they had made money from visa and passports.

It is claimed that the program was to create an unauthorized link on the website of the message in order to redirect visa and passport applicants to a private company in which they were “calculated for several services” without knowing the Foreign Ministry.

Ablakwa added that the employee “retained the entire proceeds in his private account” and that the system has been taking place for five years.

Applicants who sought visas were not admitted from almost $ 30 (£ 22) and $ 60 from the private company.

“This behavior was reported to the Attorney General for a possible law enforcement and the call -up of funds that were obtained by fraudulent systems.

As a result, the employees of the Foreign Ministry in Washington were “called back home” and “all the message recruited locally were suspended.

“President [John] Mahama's government will continue to prove no tolerance to corruption, bare conflicts of interest and obvious abuse of office, ”he said.
