Christian McCaffrey is the 49ers player who can watch at OTAS

The OTA exercise of the 49ers in front of the media is this Thursday and the No. 1 player who can be seen is Christian McCaffrey.

Last year McCaffrey Otas skipped because he wanted a contract extension that the 49 gave him quickly. Unfortunately, he had a bilateral Achilles tendonitis for her, which ultimately kept him on the way until week 10.

When McCafrey finally came back, he was not explosive. The fastest speed he hit during a game was 17.4 miles per hour. He only forced 5 missed duels. And then he tore the PCL and missed the last favorite games.

Now he says he is completely healthy without restrictions. On Thursday we will see if that's really the case.

That is why CBS Sports says that McCafrey is the player who can be seen on 49ers Otas.

“In 2023, the three -time Pro Bowl, the McCafrey, was the offensive player of the NFL of the year, and the 49s reached the extension of the Super Bowl before they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs,” writes Garrett Podell from CBS Sports. “In 2024, McCaffrey played four games, while he dealt with bilateral Achilles tendonitis and a PCL injury in his knee, and the 49s went 6-11. These 11 defeats were tied by a team after a great loss of all time.

“How much 29-year-old, who is going back, takes part in OTAs and what he looks like, will be seen because the hopes of San Francisco 2025 can rest on his banging body.”

The 49s would not work too hard in the off -season if you consider that Achilla tendonitis is an excessive injury that could occur at any time. A big reason why he was injured so quickly last season is that the 49s used him as if he hadn't missed any time at all.

Mistake.
