New Galaxy S25 edge leaks indicate a smaller battery and an announcement from mid-May

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is approaching the publication according to new leaks. The S25 Edge in January in the Samsung event is expected to be the thinnest Android smartphone sampling that resembles a thinner version of the 25 Plus.

A representative of Samsung did not immediately answer a request for comments.

Of course there is a compromise. According to the latest rumors of Winfuture, the S25 Edge is sent with a smaller battery – a significant break -in compared to its S25 Plus siblings.

The S25 Edge probably has something to do with the rumored iPhone 17 Slim, which is to be released later this year. It seems that Thin is able again, even though the CNET reporter David Lumb wonders, who asks for a phone that is so slim.

Previous reports said that the Galaxy S25 Edge would be published in the first half of the year, but an X -Post from Evan Blass industrial corner pointed out for an announcement of May 13th. This post originally showed what seemed like an advertising picture of Samsung with the date of May 13, but the picture has been removed since then.

Licking specifications, including a small battery

The latest leak by the German Tech blog Winfuture shows that the thinness of the S25 edge is delivered with a significantly reduced battery capacity of 3900 mAh. For comparison, the Galaxy S25 Plus becomes a 4900 -MAH battery and is only 1.45 mm thicker than the edge.

If the leaks are true, the phone has a 6.7-inch amoled display with a resolution of 2130 x 1440, which is wrapped in a titanium body. It is supplied with the Snapdragon 8 elite for Galaxy chip and outside of 12 GB RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB storage variants. Expatible memory is most likely not offered with the handset.

According to reports, it is housed a two-camera setup, including a 200 megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel-ultra width. The front shooter of the phone has no details, but it doesn't seem as if it is not in the possibility to keep the 12-megapixel camera on the S25 Plus.

The phone would occur with relatively light 163 grams and IP68 -limitation protection assessment.
