Update May 27, 8.42 p.m. Edt (0042 GMT): SpaceX started flight test 9 of his super heavy starship rocket at 7:37 p.m. Edt (2337 GMT; 6:37 p.m. local time in Starbase, Texas). The super heavy booster successfully separated from the surface upper level, but was lost over the Golf. The shipping vehicle was unable to use its sham satellites due to a stuck door and suffered fuel leaks that led to a loss of setting control. The spaceship fell back to earth in an uncontrolled fall over the Indian ocean.

Both events can be found in the production and testing system of SpaceX in the latest official city in Texas, Starbase, which is located on the southernmost tip of the state.

Starships Flight 7 and Flight 8, in January and March, both successfully returned their super heavy booster of the first stage to Starbase, where they were caught in the middle of the air by the “Mechazilla” Kachhärelemöbern of the starting tower. The Starship Flight 9 is expected to take a little more than an hour and try to fly the path that the predecessor of flight 8 did not end in March. The ship starts with several in-room destinations, including the use of eight dummy Starlink satellites and a religious one of the ship raptor engines. The satellite simulators are expected to burn up when they re -enter.

This will be the first reuse of one of the super heavy booster from SpaceX. Flight 9 will start with the same first stage in which flight 7 was released. In contrast to earlier starts, Super Heavy will not return to his Starbase start -up location after the separation from the ship and instead try a soft landing in the golf water south of Starbase, where it is thrown away.
