The mayor emphasizes water investments in the amount of USD 1 billion in Pflugererville State of the City

In the speech of Pflugerville on May 1, Mayor Victor Gonzales discussed the city's investments in infrastructure projects, including 1 billion US dollars over the next five years for the city's water supply, which is “the biggest investment in [Pflugerville’s] Story.”

The collapse

Gonzales discussed the progress of the city to infrastructure projects, which were both planned and recently started.

1. Water

Investments in the water infrastructure of 1 billion US dollars in the amount of $ 1 billion include the expansion of the water treatment plant, the construction of a second sewage system and the construction of the new Colorado River water line. These infrastructure projects are “the foundation that supports [the city’s] Progress, “said Gonzales.

2. Streets

Pflugerville has completed five road projects in the past two years, with another 41 in any development phase. Some of these projects include the Kelly Lane extension and the Colorado Sand Boulevard Connection.

“When we invest in streets, we invest in people,” said Gonzales.

The city has made 15 million US dollars available for important road projects such as Picadilly Drive, Central Commerce Drive and Royston Lane and invested 5.3 million US dollars in the resuscitation of the neighborhood's streets.

3. Development

Two main developments recorded progress this year. Downtown East, a mixed place of use in the Pflüger tract, in which the new town hall and the recreation center for multigenererational nationals will finally be aligned, triggered the foundation for the recreation center in February.

Another mixed development, Project Greenfield, is in the initial phase of planning. The planned location is “a bold future development near the Lake Pflugerville [that] will mix trade, relaxation and breathtaking views of the lake, “said Gonzales.
