Pebble founder shares a new video update for a comeback in smartwatch

In a recent video update, Eric Migicovsky – the original founder of Pebble – puts new insights into the revival of the legendary smartwatch platform. The short update in podcast style, which was published on YouTube, offers an open rear backdrop behind the scenes with the progress of the project, design decisions and even the personal reasons that he still has a pebble.

Note: Pebble accessories are still available from Amazon

Migicovsky discusses both Core 2 duo And Core time 2Two new smartwatches that are inspired by the pebble and are driven by the newly open pebbleos. From the ever-on-e paper display to tactile physical keys and the long battery life, the new devices are based on the original pebble ethic: simple, reliable and endlessly chop bar.

The update also affects the economic realities of the production of hardware in 2025 – including the Effects of tariffs For component costs. Migicovsky notes that all price changes are communicated transparently to customers due to such tariffs, which remains loyal to the community-first spirit of the original pebble days.

Pebble Core 2 Duo-Die cute, community-controlled smartwatch

But what strikes the most is the last segment in which Eric thinks Why He still wears a pebble today. Essentially that it is nerdy and sweet (a bit paraphrased!) And he says: “Whenever I look down on my wrist, I only smile.” (In terms of a Pebble Watch Face with an octopus that eats an ice cream cone), this feeling – genuine, nostalgic and a little rebellious – is exactly why so many fans have remained loyal over the years over the pebble. Including myself, a long -time pebbler who probably has too many of them who still sit in a drawer and reminds me of innocence.
