Incident Report reveals new details in the death of Juvenile in Veterans Memorial Park

Hattiesburg, Miss. (WDAM) – In an Incident report achieved by WDAM, further details will be given on March 18 in the Veteran's Memorial Park in Veteran's Memorial Park.

The Hattiesburg police authority came on site at 2:55 p.m., according to the incident report. It shows that Mississippi Power, AAA and the fire brigade were called shortly after arrival to come to the scene.

The report says that Officer Matos in Veterans Memorial Park first reacted to the scene in relation to a child in the water. Officer Kaeli Fluke then arrived to help.

On arrival, Fluke Matos found the fountain in the park. The victim was still in the water.

Officer Matos had already tried to save the boy from the fountain, but was supplied with a electric shock when he tried to pull him out.

The officials collected evidence when they waited that the Hattiesburg fire brigade appeared, which were then able to get the boy out of the water. He was immediately transferred to the Forrest General Hospital.

The body cam was switched on at that time, but the film material was not released.
