Dallas (AP) -Wyatt Johnston scored the fastest goal that has ever founded a playoff game for the Dallas Stars, who had an immediate reaction at home in her first round against the Colorado Avalanche.

Wyatt Johnston scored 9 seconds in game 5 and then added another goal and an assist for the stars in a 6-2 victory on Monday evening to put a 3-2 series in the lead.

“We probably generated our best jobs tonight and it was shown … just a big victory,” said Johnston.

“I am not surprised by our answer. We have a proud group,” said coach Pete Deboer, whose team lost 4-0 two nights in game 4 on the street. “The last game, we played a bad game. It happens. In a series with seven games you will have a night in which you are off. And we were gone and we had it and we repaired it and we answered.”

Mikko Rantannen, who was in the playoffs in the playoffs in the last seven seasons, achieved his first Nach season goal and had two templates for the stars when they made a 3-2 series in the lead.
