Autodieb visits Joliet Police Department to confess: English: English

Joliet-Fast four months after a car theft in Joliet was unsolved, 19-year-old citizen Romero Rodriguez visited the Joliet Police this week to confess his crime, as the arrest report showed.

Rodriguez was arrested and released on a message in order to appear for the crime of motor vehicle theft.

According to Joliet Police spokesman Dwayne English, the officials reacted to the 400 block of the North Hickory Street on January 3 at 12.49 p.m. The officials learned that the victim's Hyundai Elantra had been stolen from outside the house at some point.

The keys of the vehicle were taken into account, and the officials did not find any broken glass or debris at the scene. The vacant vehicle was found the next morning near Taylor Street and the Center Street by an officer on the patrol and dragged out of the area.

On Monday of this week, Rodriguez contacted the Joliet Police Department, which stated that he wanted to turn on for this motor vehicle theft. The officials met Rodriguez in the 700 block of the Plainfield Road. Rodriguez admitted that he had stolen the Hyundai Elantra in January, and he was taken into custody without incidents, according to English.
