Eden Community remembers the Linemen killed in the fall

EDEN, NC details are still being created on the fatal crash in Eden, which caused four line workers and two more.

Teresa Mullins said she was still working on the loss of her nephew 32-year-old Madison “Matt” Carter and hopes the best for his 24-year-old brother Hunter when he fights for his life.

“They were loved. They were wonderful and simply full of life,” she said, adding flowers to the memorial station.

Mullins said she lived only a few blocks from the Park Road, Church and Carroll Street intersection, where the crash took place.

“The day before. Yes, I drove down. They roared, 'Hey tt', smiled. At least I have that,” she said.

Many group groups have expressed their condolences, including the fallen Linemen organization and the Osborne Baptist Church.

“Personally, I was in the hospital to see a few different families. We made them aware that a resource is available to them,” said Steve Griffith, senior citizen of the Osborne Baptist Church.

Now, one week after the crash, the community still trade in grief and prayer for the families.

“So many people in the community were either family or acquaintances of friends, someone who was affected, the people who lost their lives. It was just terrible,” said Griffith.

Mullins said she hoped that the community will continue to keep her family in prayer and she would continue to keep her beloved nephew Matt in her memories.

Vernon received a first court appointment in Wentworth on July 3 and received an unsecured bond of $ 50,000.

The case will continue to be examined.
