Washington: US President Donald Trump confirmed on Thursday that he replaced his national security advisor Mike Waltz after a leak of the chat group and said he had to bring him to the United Nations.

At the first major cabinet recording of Trump's new term, the President said that Foreign Minister Marco Rubio would now act as a “interim” national security consultant after Waltz.

“I am pleased to be able to tell you that I will nominate Mike Waltz as the next ambassador for the United States at the United Nations,” Trump said of the social truth and confirmed earlier reports that Waltz was suppressed. “Mike Waltz worked hard to put the interests of our nation first. I know that he will do the same in his new role.”

Trump gave no reason for the move, but Waltz has been under pressure over the so -called “signal gate” scandal since the end of March.

At the time, the editor-in-chief of Atlantic Magazine revealed Waltz to a group chat about US strikes on the Huthi rebels of Yemen to the Commercial Messaging app signal. The group officers determined the attack plan, including the times that the US fighter planes would take to bomb goals. The first texts barely half an hour before the start. Despite intensive media speculation that Trump would fire waltzes over the scandal, the president repeatedly offered his support and the national security advisor seemed to have equipped the storm. In the end, however, the 51-year-old former MEP from Florida took a little more than 100 days of Trump's second term, which was previously more stable in terms of staff than his first. The Democrats will now turn up the heat of the Minister of Defense Pete Hegseth, who was the official who unveiled the air striker details in advance and also shared these details in a separate signal group chat, which, among other things, contained his spouse.
