Youth drivers were arrested for a crash in which Mason Alexander was killed

Indianapolis (Wish) – The youthful driver, who was involved in a fatal crash with a former football star of the Hamilton Southoner High School, was taken into custody, says the News 8 family.

On Thursday, the Hamilton County's Sheriff confirmed to Mason Alexander's family that the young person who was involved in the crash was arrested.

Alexander was a cornerback from the football team of the University of Pittsburgh.

News 8 has contacted the Hamilton County's Sheriff office to get more information.

On March 1, around 9:03 p.m., a BMW, which was occupied by the youth driver and Alexander, traveled south to the Florida Road, near the Spirit Park and 113th Street. The BMW moved to the northern lane to pass another vehicle while a Toyota Rav4 came north.

The BMW and the Toyota avoided a collision. Both vehicles drove off the east side of the street.

The Toyota hit a mailbox while the BMW met a tree and caught fire. Alexander died at the scene.
