Trump displaces the national security advisor Mike Waltz

US President Donald Trump removed Mike Waltz from his position as a national security advisor and will name him as an ambassador in the United Nations.

In a contribution on social media, Trump thanked Waltz for his work and said he was temporarily replaced by Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, who would continue as America's top diplomat.

Waltz had criticized because he incorrectly added a journalist to a chat group in which sensitive military plans were discussed -a political embarrassment that was likely to be seen in confirmation hearings for the UN post.
