Updated NBA Playoff Bracket 2025 picture, schedule after Knick's progress against pistons

The NBA Playoffs 2025 continued on Thursday evening when two teams wanted to advance into the second round and tried two more to keep their season alive.

In the first Matchup, No. 3 Saatgut New York Knicks defeated No. 6 Seed Detroit Pistons with the end result of 116-113. The Knicks achieved a six-game series victory with the victory and got into the second round of the playoffs for a third year in a row.

The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers will also collide on Thursday at 10 p.m. (ET). Denver has a 3-2 lead ahead of Los Angeles.

The Knicks survived a highly competitive fight with the pistons, which was ultimately victorious because the Star Point Guard Jalen Brunson was still four seconds in the fourth quarter of Star Point Guard Jalen Brunson.

Brunson ended with 40 points and seven templates at the 15-of-33 shooting and connected with three of his 10 attempts behind the arch.

The Knicks had an 11-point lead into the fourth quarter, but the pistons stormed back to achieve a seven-point advantage with almost three minutes in the regulation.

Cade Cunningham ended with 23 points, seven rebounds and eight assists for the pistons. He shot 9 of 22 from the field, but missed all eight of his attempts from the three-point territory.

Detroit's season ended, although it was still an impressive overall performance of a team that only won 14 games in 2024.

The Knicks will now take the Boston Celtics.
