Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge -leck may have confirmed our worst fears before the battery life

Samsung's Superdünner Galaxy S25 Edge is only removed a few weeks before the start, and many details of this device were launched until Sunday.

However, there are still a few things that we do not know – including the battery capacity.

Thanks to a recent leak from the German website Winfuture, however, we have the registered battery capacity and a mostly complete overview of the specifications for the S25 Edge.

The reported capacity of 3,900 mAh will make a few worries, especially compared to the more spacious S25 Ultra and even the regular S25.

To be fair, capacity is not everything. How much battery life can we expect without testing it yourself compared to what the existing S25 list offers? To try to get a better sense, I tested the battery capacities and the battery life of the other Galaxy S25 telephones that we recently tested.

All line, the S25 telephones hold the same capacities as their predecessors in the S24 line -up. However, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is quite efficient and Samsung has managed to improve the battery life tested by several hours in every phone.

It is expected that the Galaxy S25 edge has the same SoC, so it should be quite efficient despite the smaller size.

How is it compared to the iPhone 16 installation picture?

Interestingly, the S25 Edge could compare more cheaply with the iPhone 16 series, which has closer battery capacities.

Apple has managed to press almost 13 and 14 hours from the smaller batteries in the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Pro. We still don't know what the later rival of the S25 Edge, the iPhone 17 Air, still does not know what this phone will be capable of.

Assuming that Samsung can be efficient with the S25 edge, we expect the battery life of the phone between 12 hours and 43 minutes of the iPhone 16 and the 15:43 of the Galaxy S25.

Other specifications

In short, other specifications listed by Winfuture belong to the expected thickness of 5.85 mm and a weight of 163 grams. We already have a look at what is supposedly the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge design in earlier leaks, so that this supports these reports.

Some reports indicate that the middle model of the phone could send with a titanium and glass case and a 6.7-inch amoled display.

Inside it will allegedly have the Snapdragon chip mentioned with 12 GB RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage space. It is said to contain a 200 MP main camera and a 12-megapixel-ultra-angle angle lens.

With regard to connectivity, the S25 Edge Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 should support, while it was started with a UI 7 and Android 15. Win Future also revealed three color variants: Titanium Silver, Titanium Icyblue and Titanium Jet Black.

We have to wait until the phone is published official to know safely. Samsung is expected to launch the ultra-small phone on May 13th at the end of the May release. So stay tuned.
