The incident raised questions among the residents the type of injuries to the other injuries involved.

The police reported that an official fired her weapon during the incident, citing an immediate threat, but the official was not injured.

It remains unclear whether the injuries to the 11 people were caused by shots or ran as people on site.

Mike Chestnut, City Councilor of Myrtle Beach, was concerned about the shootout, which appeared at the beginning of the tourist season.

“It is an unfortunate situation that someone was killed, but at the same time it could have been worse if we didn't have as difficult as we were down there,” said Chestnut.

The Law Enforcement Division in South Carolina examines the shootout included by civil servants, the standard procedure.

The Myrtle Beach police brought three officials into the paid administrative leave in accordance with the guidelines of the department.

City Councilor Chestnut emphasized that the crime in Myrtle Beach is not higher than in other areas.

“I can tell you that the crime decreases much less than a few years ago. We are constantly adding more police to the armed forces, and the police are more visible and outside, so I would simply encourage people to come and have fun,” he said.
