Louisville, Ky. (Wave) – Wave News is your home for complete reporting on the 151st Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby on Friday and Saturday.

Here is your one-stop guide for everything you need to know about the exciting reporting about the race day:

When does the Wave report start and how long does it take?

For the Oaks Day on Friday, Wave's reporting begins at 10 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

For Derby Day we will start reporting at 8 a.m. and continue the local reporting until 3:30 p.m. NBC then takes over the national reporting on the Kentucky Derby, you don't have to change the channel!

The NBC cover continues until 7:30 p.m. and the wave will be switched on for a derby day.

I'm not near a television. Can I still watch?

You can definitely! We will stream our reporting on the streaming platforms of Wave, including our website, our apps on telephones/tablets and smart TVs.

As soon as the reporting changes to NBC, you have to have to Register on the NBC website or The NBC app Use your cable/satellite provider account to continue to watch live without a television.

Spectators can also view live -nbc reporting on A Subscription for the Pfau -Sstreaming service.

Do you show all races live?

For the Oaks Day we will show races 1 to race 4 live, run from 11 a.m. and at 12:30 p.m.

Due to an agreement with NBC Sports, races 5 to race 11 in Wave News after a delay of 20 minutes from 1:03 p.m. and around 6 p.m.

To observe these races live, you have to adjust to the USA network or Register on the US Network website Or app with a cable/satellite provider.

The spectators can also view reporting on the USA network via A Subscription for the Pfau -Sstreaming service.

Shortly after the OAKS race, Wave will have an article available on the website and the app in which the winner contains. In order not to spoil the race for our television viewers, readers have to click or tap the article to see the winner until the race on the delay is broadcast on wave.

Our reporting continues with live races on the Oaks Day for races 12 and 13, from 6 p.m. and through the end of our show.

On the Derby Day, all races on the wave can be seen by our local reporting or during the NBC cover. Local reporting will be 1 to race 6 and run until 2 p.m. until 2 p.m.

The reporting from NBC will take races 7 to race 12 (Kentucky Derby) from 2:38 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. These races will be live and can be seen without changing the channel.

They need Register on the NBC website or The NBC app Use your cable/satellite provider account to continue to watch live without a television.

Where can I buy tickets?

The easiest way to acquire general admission or reserved box tickets is through Ticket. However, there are several ways to buy tickets for groups and memberships.

Tickets are not reimbursable and all tickets are accessed digitally. During the live racing data, the coffers of the clubhouse are opened an hour in front of goals and closed on the second until the last race for this day. After the box office has closed, only customers with pre-bought tickets and gate passes can enter the facility for the last race of the day. Buy tickets for a non-race-datum:

Park instructions for OAKS and Derby Day

Parking on site

  • Parking on site is sold out.
  • Open for those with passes at 8 a.m. on oak and derby days.
  • Some tickets are parking (e.g. the villa, Spiers Terrace, Woodford Reserve Paddock Club, Suites, Matt Winns, selected dining rooms).
  • The passes are vehicle-specific (car, limousine, mini bus, motor trainer). Wrong vehicle types are rejected.
  • Follow the instructions for your assigned lot for admission.
  • No shuttling in loose. No re -entry when you go.

Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC)

  • The Central Avenue will be closed from May 1st to 3. Visit KentuckyderByparking.com for route information.
  • Enter through goals 1 or 2.
  • The shuttles start at 7:30 a.m. on the days of OAKS and Derby. ADA parking spaces and shuttles are available, but no wheelchair aid at Churchill Downs.
  • Buses and cars can buy a derby Drive Drop-Off Pass (Warren Ave between Queen & Thornberry) in advance. No collection. Passes are collected when handed over.
  • Only Frontside tickets enable KEC parking and shuttle access. Infield tickets are not accepted and cannot use the shuttle. No waste on the infield goal.

Carpooling and collection

  • No before -Ort -Mitarbeit or Taxizugang. Use the bronze -los in the L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. There is no mobility support. Use a shuttle to the KEC to pick up or submit.
  • Paid parking spaces in the L&N stadium begins in Thurby. Go to Churchill Downs. Pay on site (cash or card): $ 40 (car/truck), 150 USD (motorhome), $ 200 (bus). No advance sale.

  • Guests with specific nutritional needs or restrictions can bring lunch passing or food in clear plastic bags or containers that do not exceed the maximum size. Lunching or food must fit in the pocket of the guest or a gallone clear storage bag in ziploc style (no garbage bags). The guests are only limited to one pocket – additional bags for food are not permitted.

Articles that are permitted in the infield

  • Lunch packages or food in clear plastic bags or containers that do not exceed the maximum size (12 “X 6” X 12 “). Lunch passport or food must fit into the pocket of the guest or a gallone clear storage bag in Ziploc style (no garbage bags). The guests are limited – additional bags for food are not permitted.
  • Bottle water, which is located in a sealed, clear and unopened plastic bottle limit of two 24 ounces. Bottles per person
  • Collapsy camping chairs without a passter (must be removed from the pocket during the search)
  • Tarpauline (“tarps”) and picnic blankets that are smaller than 10 'x 10'. Once in the gate, tarps are not attached to the infield fence or another permanent structure.

What are the bet rules?

Churchill Downs has largely become cashless. However, money is still needed to place betting at Mutuel Windows. While there are many ATMs on site, it is encouraged to bring money if you want to use on site. Or set up your betting account via the Twinires app.
