Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has ordered a high-ranking investigation into a massive corruption scandal in which the alleged embezzlement of 36 billion rupees in development funds for the Kohistan district is involved.

According to reports, the funds were reported to private bank accounts, including one that belonged to a Dumper driver, where 3 billion RS was discovered.

According to the sources of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the redirected funds were intended for various development systems between 2018 and 2024.

The scandal allegedly includes influential political personalities, senior bureaucrats and civil servants from the Department of Communication and Working (C&W).

The Dumper driver account was frozen and further accounts are examined because the investigators are pursuing the Money Trail.

In response to the revelations, the spokesman for the KP assembly conjured up a meeting of the Public Company Committee (PAC) in order to evaluate the severity of the case.

The department for the financial department of the province has distanced itself from the scandal and claimed that the funds transferred have not related to the security contributions of the contractors.
