Jalen Brunson joins Michael Jordan in NBA history after Knicks-Pistons

The New York Knicks made one of the biggest offers of this past offseason and exchanged the all-star striker Julius Randle and the key role player Donte Divincenzo to land the Star Center Karl-Anthony Towns. A step that was initially criticized does not complain any side now, since both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Knicks have passed into the second round of the playoffs.

The Knicks were able to advance in six games on Thursday after the Detroit Piston game, and for the most part of Jalen Brunson's game. The all-NBA wachmann continued his dominant playoff run and scored 40 points in the closeout game. In doing so, he set his name alongside the probably greatest player in NBA history: Michael Jordan.

Brunson's 40 points and seven assists gave him his second career game of 40 or more points and five or more templates in the playoff win in the street. The only other player who does this is Jordan who achieved it three times (1989 against Cleveland, in 1992 against Miami, 1996 against Orlando).

Brunson did it for the first time last season when he had 41 points and 12 templates when the Philadelphia 76ers had in the first round. While he performed the Dallas Mavericks before moving in the playoffs last season, Brunson has been one of the best playoff actors in the league since entering the Knicks.

While injuries disabled the Knicks last year, Brunson will be confronted with the reigning NBA champions in the Boston Celtics in the next round in the Boston Celtics. If he can pull through the surprise, Brunson will continue to establish himself under the sizes of the Knicks.
