The Huron Tiger Stadium installs the largest LED video display for a high school in South Dakota

The Huron High School has turned to Daktronics to design, manufacture and install LED display -upgrades in the Huron Arena and outside the Tiger Stadium. The installation within the arena was completed at the end of February and has the largest LED video display in a high school environment in South Dakota. The Tiger Stadium project will be completed later this spring.

“Our scoreboard -upgrades had an immediate impact on the athlete and fan experience at our games,” says Scott Deboer, sports director of the Huron High School. “There are unlimited ways to engage fans and develop the capacity of the students by making them part of the production and operating processes.”

Huron Arena Display details
Inside Huron Arena, a four-sided center hungry, end-wall video display, a ribbon display and three scorer tables at the courtyard were installed to improve the live event experience. The center hung over the courtyard and has four displays, each 7 feet high and 12 feet wide. At the end of the arena, a large end wall video measures approx. 11.5 feet high and 39.5 feet wide.

Together, these five displays offer all video, graphics and information fans that expect fans with excellent image clearance and contrast from a narrow pixel spacing of 3.9 millimeters. You can enable variable content zoning, to display a large picture or to be divided into several content zones, including live video, immediate repetitions, current statistics and game information, graphics and animations as well as sponsorship messages.

Supplement to the main video displays, a long band display with a height of approximately 3 feet of 74 feet wide and three goal scorer tables, each measuring about 2.5 feet high, in the atmosphere on match day. These displays also have a 3.9 millimeter pixel pixel, and the scorer tables can be organized in any configuration to meet the requirements of the Huron Arena and all events that you can organize.

34 LCDs were also made available by Daktronics to immerse yourself in the campaign and inform visitors and fans in the arena. A total of 26 LCDs were installed as secular displays via entrances and expenses to the headquarters, while the upper west, the inner, upper-east and ticket window locations were given two LCDs.

Tiger Stadium Display details
If you step outside to the Tiger stage, fans will be increased a new end zone video display of football in autumn. This display measures 12 feet and 22 feet wide and has a pixel distance of 10 millimeters. It has industry -leading environmental protection to ensure that it works outdoors in South Dakota as expected.

Similar to the indoor video displays in the arena, this display with the same variable content functions has to meet the requirements of this event location and the additional events that you can hold.

The stadium installation is rounded off and an display board with a fixed deputy is installed in order to share all the expected information for football games. The delay of the music boxes and two back league identification plates are also installed to ensure that all needs of the Huron match day are reached.

Daktronics also included a complete show control solution. This control system offers a combination of display control software, first-class video processing, data integration and playback hardware, which forms a powerful but user-friendly production solution.
