The man from Louisiana arrested in connection with wreck that killed Katy teen

Carthage, Texas (KLTV) – A man is in connection with Panola County Wrack behind bars that left both a teenager and an adult dead.

James Hayden Blythe, 30, from Louisiana, was arrested on Friday and charged with two cases of criminal murder in relation to the 2023 wreck.

According to a crash report, Blythe drove 79 in the left lane to the USA. The 34 -year -old Brittany Davis from Katy drove to the north with Lexus Powell (16) in the passenger seat.

The report said that Blythe was “tired” and his vehicle drove into the oncoming North Bound Lane. In order to avoid a collision, Davis crossed the median at the same time into the south -bound trace when Blythe corrected its course.

The two vehicles collided and let the ground lift off. Blythe's vehicle landed on the driver's side while Davis landed upright, both over the south -bound alleys.

Neither Davis nor Powell survived their injuries. Blythe was not injured.

He was arrested for an indictment for Grand Jury and taken to Panola County's prison, where he records a collective bond of 10,000 US dollars.
