“Video games are not made in China,” says Playasia tariff-hoy customer

Playasia, a popular retailer for the purchase of video games, toys and more from Asia, says that the planned changes to the importing planned in Chinese goods does not expect to apply to “game -related orders” because “these orders are not included by China's goods”.

On May 2, the Trump administration plans to end the liberation of minimis, with which imports can enter the US Duty-Free with less than $ 800, and is intended to impose new tariffs imported from China.

“The most important information for game collectors who know that video games in China are not made,” says the company in its contribution about X.

Playasia also says that “many other categories are very similar to video games, since the products are mainly produced outside of China, such as game soundtracks, books and films.” However, the company plans to add product pages in the “coming weeks” of a “country of the country of origin”.

“Most products that are offered for sale at Playasia are not of Chinese origin,” says Playasia. But it will “clarify” the “situation regarding import” after May 2.
