17 suburb of students, 2 drivers who were injured in the Chicago School Bus Crash in West 111th Street in Mount Greenwood: CPD

Chicago (WLS) – Seventeen students and two drivers were injured on Friday morning after a school bus on the South Side of Chicago crashed into Chicago police.

According to the CPD, a bus drove with the students of the Vorstadt in the 3900 block of the West 111th Street in Mount Greenwood shortly after 7:30 a.m. to the west when a 64-year-old man who drove a SUV was looking with red light in front of bending.

The bus hit the passenger side of the SUV, the police said.

Six students and two drivers were brought to the OSF Little Company of Mary Mary Center, six students were brought to the Advocate Christ Medical Center, and five students were brought to the Holy Cross Hospital in fair state.

Quotes stand against the driver of the SUV, the police said.

It was not clear which students were on the bus.
