All eyes in the world of horse are in Louisville this weekend when we are set for the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, but the first is the first Kentucky Oaks on Friday, a big race in itself. The 1 ⅛ mile race in Churchill Downs is for three -year -old stut foals. Last year, Brian Hernandez drove the Kenny McPeek-trained Thorpedo Anna to victory.

14 horses should run on Friday, but five g have already scratched.

The current favorite is a good cheer, rode by Luis Saez and trained by Brad Cox. With 6-5 chances, a good cheering win would not be shocking at all. COX last won the OAKS in 2020 with Shedarestheste.

But there are several other horses that you can keep in mind. The Bob Baffert-caused Tenma starts from post No. 9, which should be an advantage at open post No. 8 according to the five-G scratch. The Jockey Juan Hernandez has been achieved in Kentucky Oaks since 2017 when Mike E. Smith won Abel Tasman.

McPeek will try to train consecutive OAKS winners with the takeover of Milady, a horse that is a little more long shot with 15: 1. The last trainer who won the successive OAKs was D. Wayne Lukas in 1990 and 1991.
