The 30-year-old man who was killed in the ongoing landover shootout examines Prince George's County Police

Landover, Md. – Detectives of the murder units examine a fatal shootout that occurred in Landover late Thursday evening. The victim is 30-year-old James Kibler from Landover. In this case, a reward of up to 25,000 US dollars is offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.

On May 1, 2025, the patrol officials of the Landover Division III heard the sound of shots at around 11:10 p.m. and immediately searched for a potential crime scene. Officers found the victim outside in the 8100 block of the Allendale Drive with several gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a hospital in which he died a short time later.

Detectives work to determine a motif and identify a suspect. For the time being, Detective does not believe that this was a random crime.
