The 10th anniversary of the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center raises the first class Alumna, which became mentor

After the high school, Carter visited the Florida A&M University in Tallahasee, where she received BA in theater performance. She had just graduated when the Covid 19 pandemic was still in full swing, so she had to return home. She stayed in touch with Holder, who was also a mentor as a student in the education center and then asked Carter to join the new teaching artist initiative.

Now in her fourth year of apprenticeship, Carter reflects her time as a student and the thrill of becoming a teacher. As a student, Carter's time in the education center ignited her passion for the arts. Today she is happy to share this passion with her students as she cares for her talents and creates an encouraging environment and a solid foundation for her. She wants her to record growth in her art and spread the love of the arts as well as her teachers for her when she was her age.

“It is great to see how the Rose Minaci Center developed from this small program in this important place for art in just 10 years,” said Carter. “Even if we get involved in Covid, we had to adapt from the distance, the costumes and all other logistics, so that only the possibilities that have come through, like the MTI pilot production program and the program for teen ambassadors, feels like a great performance. I am happy to see that the next generation can experience all of this.”

Carter is also a supporter of the award-winning student enrichment of the Broward Center by the Arts (SEAS) program, which was expanded to a sea from a distance and before and after the show season plus workshop, offering creative connections between the topics of the show and teacher and teacher and the teacher's teacher. Adult courses have also expanded, with the old lessons being up to 80 years old and presenting their talents.
