Will Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce make their debut on the red carpet at the Met Gala 2025?

It has been almost ten years since Taylor Swift took part in the Met Gala, and fans have become more and more impatient over the years. While the singer has never brought a partner to the annual event with her, Swifties wonder whether Travis Kelce is the key to her return.

The costume institute's celebration will take place on Monday, May 5th. If the 35-year-old took part in the event with stars, this would be her seventh appearance at the Met Gala. Last year rumors swirls about the possibility that the couple celebrated their debut with the red carpet. However, the fans were quickly disappointed when Swift did not show up.

After the event in May 2024, Outlets reported the reason for their absence. At the time, People claimed that Swift decided from the gala due to rehearsals and preparation work before her Eras tour.

So far, only speculation can record all Swifties, since there was no confirmation – or rejection – of their participation. Nevertheless, fans of the singer “Cruel Summer” cannot help but manifest themselves that this year will be the year, especially since Swift now seems to have a clearer schedule.

Between March 2023 and December 2024, Swift performed 149 shows in 51 cities. The tour lasted 632 days over 5 continents – and gave the fans the opportunity to see the singer belt 46 songs in three and a half hours. Regarding Kelce's part, the Kansas City Chiefs player comes from a long season and a hard Super Bowl loss.

For some it would not be a surprise if Swift skipped the carpet this year and took some time after an extensive tour. It was said that the couple was recently discovered in Boca Raton, Florida. Perhaps the two decide to make an urgently needed vacation together – or maybe, just maybe, they are preparing for their first gala together.
