Fentanyl retailer due to murder after the victim's death in Hay's County arrested

A man was arrested in connection with the fentanyl overdose of another man in December 2024.

The background story:

On December 31, 2024, Hays County's MPs responded to a call in Belterra Springs Apartments, 761 Trinity Hills Dr. The 50-year-old was declared dead at the crime scene.

An investigation showed that the man had died of an overdose in fentanyl. Officials later discovered the fentanyl dealer Alan Rodriguez (28) from Kyle.

A search for his house led to the discovery of fentanyl, cocaine, THC, marijuana and several weapons.

On March 26th, Rodriguez was arrested and booked into the Hays County prison. His charges include:

  • Production/delivery of a controlled substance CT I, crime first degree
  • Production/delivery of a controlled substance CT II, ​​crime first degree
  • Ownership of a controlled substance, a second degree crime
  • Rightly wearing a weapon by a second degree criminal, a second degree crime

After a continued examination of the death of the 50-year-old man, Rodriguez was later arrested for murder.

Rodriguez remains in Hays County prison because of a total bond of $ 777,000.
