2026 World Cup Ball 'Trionda' licks online

The matchball for the 2026 World Cup is not published for months, but pictures of the ball are leaked through Footy headlines.

The adidas ball is called “Trionda”, a combination of the Spanish words Tri (three) and Onda (Wave).

The name refers to the fact that three countries serve as co-moderator of the tournament for the first time: Mexico, Canada and the United States. The three countries will organize the first world championship with 48 teams, a large expansion of the 32 teams that took part in previous editions.

The design also recognizes the three countries, with Red for Canada, Green for Mexico and Blue for the United States, all of which are presented prominently.

The Trionda only has four panels, a big change compared to the 20-panel alt Rihla ball of the 2022 World Cup.

In September 2024, the leak will continue to be created by an application submitted by Adidas via the US patent and brand office, in which the clothing giant registered as a “Trionda” brand.

The Trionda will come to the shelves in October or November and enter for 170 US dollars in retail retail.
