Cat survives 380 foot autumn, in which 2 hikers were killed in the Bryce Canyon National Park

The tragic deaths of two hikers who were killed this week after a viewpoint in the Bryce Canyon National Park was a small silver strip. Your pet cat survived the incident.

Officials said Matthew Nannen and Bailee Crane died on Monday evening or on Tuesday morning after an estimated 380 meter tall fall from the inspiration point in the park in Utah.

The Best Friends Animal Society said that the couple's cat, which apparently was with them at that time, survived autumn and was now “safe and well -founded” in an animal shelter in Kanab.

After the incident, the Sheriff's office of the Garfield County contacted the best friends to pick up the female cat with the name Mirage after it was in a dirty and torn soft wearer.

Mirage, who is assumed that he is about 12 years old, was matted and sore – but she was friendly and drank and ate alone during her exam.

The veterinarian is still waiting for X -rays to confirm that Mirage had no broken ribs or other injuries.

The sheriff's office said there was a railing at the point where nannen and Crante fell, but it was suspected that they climbed over it.

The couple had lived from a U-Haul truck, with a location in Florida being their last known permanent address.
