Cade Cunningham's fourth NBA season ends with game 6 Loss

One of the best professional athletes in the state of Oklahoma have completed his best season so far.

On Thursday evening, the Detroit Pistons fell into the New York Knicks in game 6 of the first round. This loss removed the pistons from the after season and ended one of the most impressive years in the latest NBA history.

After Detroit had only won 14 games last season, former Osu star Cade Cunningham led the indictment to bring the pistons to 44 wins and their first playoff appearance in six years. The Pistons took Cunningham with number 1 in 2021 and hoped that he could turn the franchise around, and in his fourth year he proved that he was always the man for the job.

This season, Cunningham scored an average of 26.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 9.1 assists in 70 games. His year was one of the best in the NBA, and on his impressive regular season with a good performance in his first taste on Playoff basketball.

In six games against No. 3 seeds in the first round, Cunningham scored an average of 25 points, 8.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists. He also showed his defensive skills and added 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. Although he had a difficult time to shoot the ball, Cunningham proved that he can be a playoff riser in the coming years.

Although Cunningham's season started an unfortunate end of the year in the first round, his fourth year was an undeniable success. In addition to the first decade, the playoffs for the first time in the playoffs, he became third in the most improved NBA players.

After his first all-star appearance in February, Cunningham was one of the best young guards in the league. In the next few weeks, Cunningham will also be ready to appoint the first OSU player as an all-NBA team.
