Pastor sends a thank -you message after the freak accident in which the community was killed

Toledo, Ohio (WTVG) – A local pastor has recorded a message to the community after a freak accident seriously injured him and killed the passenger in his vehicle.

The accident a few weeks ago when a tree fell on her car in the Secor Road after studying the Bible. Now he hopes to be back with his community soon.

The falling tree came out of nowhere and caused the accident. Pastor Andrew Edwards learned only days later how serious it really was.

He has traveled a long way since this freak accident on the Secor Road south of Laskey on April 17th. After leaving the Bible study with Richard Miller (35), a tree fell against her vehicle, killed Miller and injured Pastor Edwards.

“I had no idea what had happened. I had no idea that Richard had died until a few days later when I was coherent enough to understand,” said Edwards.

The pastor is now in a rehab facility after maintaining several fractures and a small hemorrhage. He is already looking forward to returning to his community, but he told them in this video message that this schedule lies with God.

“I wanted to let you know that I pray for you. I am definitely looking forward to getting back on the pulpit,” said Edwards.

Pastor Edwards believes that a little positive comes from all of this. He believes that more people have turned to a life of faith in the few weeks since then.

“It was only overwhelming to hear how God intervened during the mourning. In my understanding, we had about 32 people who came to Christ,” said Edwards.

Services in the church are still ongoing while the pastor recovers from these injuries.
