Former guitarist of the metal band, which was killed in police pasture

Brian Montana, a former guitarist from the Bay area Death Metal Band, was killed at a shootout with the police in South San Francisco.

The incident occurred on April 28, after the 60 -year -old Montana had confronted a neighbor for tree branches and fell into his farm. According to a press release from the police from South San Francisco, which was first reported in the San Mateo Daily Journal.

“The officers arrived on site at 5:55 p.m. and immediately requested additional units because the suspect was now actively shot into an occupied residence with the firearm,” says the press release. “The suspect then positioned himself again in an entrance to this neighboring residence and hid his location behind parked vehicles while he was still armed.

“In the next 25 minutes,” continued the publication, “the suspect armed himself with three different types of firearms (pistol, shotgun and rifle) and fired in officers from different locations within the driveway, while she was looking for cover and covering with both vehicles in the driveway and landscape design.”

Two officers returned fire and killed Montana. A resident of the homeland in which Montana scored suffered a non -life -threatening injury to the shootout and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The officers were not injured.

San Mateo County Dist. Atty. Steve Wagstaffe told the Daily Journal that “some alcohol was involved on the shooter side. His death is a tragedy, but it is lucky that no one else was not seriously or injured.”

Montana played briefly in the Pionier -Death Metal band from 1983 to 1984. Obsessed official Instagram published a photo of Montana with a short memory.

“I just have the feeling that people should know that Brian Montana was a very nice guy. He was happy and a gentleman,” wrote the band. “The Brian I know comes from the time when we were only children at the beginning of obsessed. He was nothing like what I wrote about him. Sad.”

This is not the band's first tragic brush with gun violence. The singer of obsessed, Jeff Becerra, was paralyzed by the chest downwards in 1989. He has used a wheelchair since then, but in 2021 he went with robot legs for the first time in decades.
