Refugee in the fatal New Year's Eve crash in Wisconsin in Chicago, says Sheriff, says Sheriff

A man who was searched for in connection with a fatal New Year's accident in Wisconsin was arrested, according to the Cook County's Sheriff in Chicago's district, Pilsen.

Cook County's police said that 28-year-old Basilio Garcia-Jarquin was arrested because of an arrest warrant from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he is charged with several crimes with several crimes.

The fees come from a fatal crash that occurred on December 31, 2023.

The investigators of the Cook County Sheriff refugee authority received information that Garcia-Jarquin hid somewhere in the Chicagoland area.

In cooperation with the US marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, the officials followed him for a residence in the 4100 block of the West 25th place in Pilsen district, where he was caught without incidents.
