Cash-for-sex scandal: Pil dish is looking for language analysis of the IPS officer

A legal disputes submitted in the Upper Court of Punjab and Haryana have applied for a forensic language analysis of legitimate audio clips that allegedly involved a high-ranking IPS representative in a “cash-for-sex scandal”.

The petition submitted by the Supreme Former Attorney Nikhil Saraf takes place in the midst of claims of institutional inaction despite the spread of strongly disturbing audio content and associated complaints. Saraf turned to the court and claimed that he received no answer from Punjab State Women's Commission, where he had previously submitted material.

The authority of the state police, on the other hand, complained for technical reasons. The lawyer of the petent Amit Sharma claimed that the home department did not act, even though the complaint was forwarded by the Prime Minister's office.

The matter came to a provisional hearing this morning in front of a division bank, which she set for examination on May 5 by the Bench Division under the direction of Chief Justice Sheel Nagu. Sharma was looking for a certified scientific language analysis of the two audio clips that were submitted on a USB drive, and claimed that the records had triggered serious public concern.

In a clip, a male voice was supposedly negotiated about the price of paid sex. The same voice was asked in a different voice that a woman asked – she said she would remove her uniform – to share an inappropriate photo with a group chat. The petent claimed that the voice had a strong resemblance to that of a well -known “meeting specialist”, which was previously seen in a video interview broadcast by the media.

The petition called for the identification of the voice to determine whether it was artificially generated or real that corresponds to that of the previously profiled officer. “Whether the person presented in the recordings is actually the civil servant previously profiled in the media or whether a third person is based on him, both options independently examinations,” says the petition.

The plea also blamed the state to maintain “institutional silence” and to suppress the matter “without explanation”. It also referred to a GAG arrangement, which was published by a Ludhiana magistrate without checking the authenticity of the clips. Saraf also applied for instructions for the general director of the police to disclose the name, the rank and the current publication of the IPS officer, which was allegedly arrested by the former Constable Amandeep Kaur according to the NDPS Act.

“While the identity of the IPS officer, which she called, remains unknown, the proximity of the events shows a troubling pattern that affects sexual compulsion, associated misconduct associated with narcotics, and hierarchical impunity.
